Reed Everingham

(Reiki practitioner)

Reed has been studying and practicing Reiki for over five years. His qualifications in the Usui Reiki Ryoho branch include Shinpiden (Master/Teacher) levels. Reed has also studied western styles of Reiki, but prefers to practice in the more authentic Japanese style. The word Reiki translates from the Japanese as "Spiritual energy".

Like Shiatsu and Acupuncture, a Reiki Practitioner works with the body's subtle energetic field to clear and improve the flow of ki energy (qi, chi, prana or life-force) in and around their body. Tenohira (hands-on healing) has been used within the Usui system of Reiki to heal since the early 1900's.

Reed's passion for Reiki and energetic healing has evolved from a life of studying the body through yoga and human movement. This foundation practice fuelled a desire to better understand the complex energy systems influencing the physical, emotional and spiritual body. Reed is a registered Shibumi practitioner and Director of Mobile Reiki Therapy.

Reiki is becoming increasingly well known in the West for the array of outcomes it can facilitate. Reiki supports the body's inherent wisdom, vitality and healing capability. A Reiki treatment is one hour in duration and is useful for specific healing or general relaxation.

If you've worked with Reiki before, you already know how amazing it is. Perhaps you're Reiki-curious and eager to give it a trial run? Your health and wellness matters! Please get in touch if you would like to discuss or experience how the system of Reiki can support you.
