Which class is right for me?
Beginners Courses
If you have never been in a yoga class then as a beginner you are best suited to our beginner courses. Learn the basics from the ground up in a supportive and stable class and with a progressive and thorough system. Each beginners class is 1.5 hrs in duration.
Level 1/2 Classes
If you are familiar with Iyengar yoga, have completed beginners courses, or have been practicing another form of yoga then you can join the open classes.These classes are 1.5 hours in duration and doors open half an hour before class commences. These classes focus on building your foundation with an emphasis on standing poses, forward bends, twists and basic inverted and backbending asanas.
Level 2 Classes
These are for students with Iyengar Yoga experience. In these classes you can expect longer timings in inverted postures such as headstands and shoulder stands, and more advanced asana work in areas such as backbending, balances.
Practice Sessions
Students who are currently attending open classes are welcome to participate in the practice sessions. The room is open from 9.30. This is an opportunity for you to develop a personal practice sequence which is built off the foundation of the work done in class. Practice classes cost $5 per session.
Charity Classes
Everybody is welcome to join in the bi-monthly charity classes regardless of ability, age or experience
Private Classes
All our teachers are available to teach private classes. Private classes are usually either one hour or 1.5 hours and are available for beginners through to advanced students. Private classes for individuals and small groups are available.
